Laura left the mortgage banking field to pursue a lifelong dream of working with animals. She started her veterinary career as a receptionist and assistant in a small animal practice in 1991, until she was accepted into the Veterinary Technology Program at Parkland College in Champaign, IL in 1992. She earned her degree and passed the VTNE Board exam in May of 1994 and started a new phase of her career as a Certified Veterinary Technician in a busy, small animal practice in Indianapolis.
After working for many years as a technician, Laura moved into a management role in a veterinary emergency hospital in Skokie, IL in 2007. After years of commuting from the Fox Valley to Skokie, Laura decided to find something closer to home. She joined St. Charles Veterinary Clinic in August of 2015, and she is happy for the opportunity to return to general practice.
Laura lives with her husband, son, and Shih-Tzu mix, Cookie, and enjoys movies, cycling, and the outdoors.
