Summer Tips!

With summer quickly approaching, it’s important to keep your pets safe and comfortable, especially in the hot weather. The rule of thumb is if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your pet. Always have plenty of water available for your pet, both indoors and outdoors. In extreme heat, especially with no shade, allow your pet to be outside for only a few minutes at a time.

Because heat stroke can occur very quickly, never leave pets in a parked car. Even with the windows open, the temperature in a car can increase to life threatening levels within a few minutes.

If you have a dog that experiences anxiety during thunderstorms, fireworks or travel, ask us about available treatments to help.
